You Don’t Have To Sit Back And Let Wrinkles Happen

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

There are many facial fillers available to the public, but two of the most well-known and most effective are Botox and Juvederm. Many people are bothered by the appearance of horizontal lines over the forehead, vertical lines between the eyebrows (frown lines), and crows feet around the eyes. For those who would like to improve or “erase” these lines “without” surgery there is an effective alternative treatment known as Botox. When injected into the muscles these lines and wrinkles soften. Botox works by blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles - the muscles are then relaxed. The relaxed muscles then cause the skin to flatten and the result is a smooth unwrinkled look. Botox therapy is very safe. The amounts injected for cosmetic use are so small that no ill effects are seen elsewhere. The benefit of this treatment is temporary, lasting 3-6 months, depending on the individual. If a permanent solution is desired, please ask for further information on available options.

As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. But, with Juvederm injectable gel, you don’t have to just sit back and let it happen. Recently approved by the FDA, Juvederm injectable gel is a “next-generation” dermal filler. The smooth consistency gel helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds - the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).

Juvederm is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Your health care professional eases Juvederm injectable gel under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel, so everyone will notice (but no one will know). In fact, studies show superior results of Juvederm compared to a collagen-based dermal filler. And, almost 90% of all study volunteers who were treated with both Juvederm injectable gel and another dermal filler* preferred Juvederm. In addition, Juvederm injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.

With Juvederm, the injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate. Plus, there’s minimal recovery or downtime. So you can step into your doctor’s office for treatment and step right back into your life.

Many People Choose To Hide Their Large Ears

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

Many people choose to hide their large ears behind their hair, or under a hat. Some people think that there is no solution to this problem, but plastic surgery can change your thinking. The plastic surgery procedure known as an otoplasty can save any person, regardless of age, with larger than average ears from torment and self-esteem issues. A young child may especially benefit from this surgery. Having your child receive an ear pinning procedure before the start of school eliminates almost all chances of them being picked on due to their ears. Although the younger a child receives an ear pinning procedure the better, it is possible to have the surgery performed at any time in one’s life.

If you have been wanting to receive an otoplasty for many years, it is possible. There are no added side effects with age. You may be a candidate for ear pinning (otoplasty) if you have ears that stick out too far from the side of the head. You may also want to have an otoplasty procedure if your ears have an unusual or undesirable shape.

The goals of ear pinning include to create ears that have normal folds and shape with a normal level protrusion from the side of the head. Another goal of ear pinning is to improve one’s self-esteem. In some cases a goal may also be to remove teasing from a child’s life.

Otoplasty is usually performed on an outpatient basis under sedation and local or general anesthesia. The ears are usually bandaged with a head band type dressing for several days. Initial mild postoperative discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. The procedure is appropriate beginning at age 5 or 6 or at any time thereafter. The ears usually look “normal” within 10-20 days. Usually, a head band is worn 2-3 weeks to protect the ears. Contact sports should be avoided for about a month.

Any facial procedure such as a facelift, nose job, eyelid lift, or forehead lift that is desired or appropriate would enhance the result.

This procedure is more often than not considered to be cosmetic and so is usually not covered by insurance. The specific risks and the suitability of this procedure for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk. Minor complications that do not affect the outcome occur occasionally. Major complications are unusual in ear pinning.

A Cash Advance Can Get You Through Tough Times

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

The economy is getting rough. This recession we are in is starting to take a toll on a lot of people. Money is getting tight for a lot of people. Most are still working hard for little pay.

The bills aren’t going away and food will always have to be put on the table. Life isn’t cheap, and with incomes going down all over the place, people have to be very frugal.

So since people are already trying to save money and be frugal, that is usually all the bills people can afford. If there is ever any other kind of unexpected bill, things can get pretty hectic for them.

They might have a medical bill or an automobile repair bill that needs to get taken care of right away. Or they might just need to avoid an overdraft fee charged by their bank. Whatever the reason, they need some fast money or else they could be in a lot of trouble.

In times like these, there actually is help out there. The money can come easily from a cash advance. Also known as a payday loan or personal loan, a cash advance is a short-term loan.

This means from the time between the initial borrowings of the money to the time it needs to be returned, it is a short period of time. In fact, a cash advance usually lasts for just two weeks.

Once the loan is paid back, everything is complete and you never have to deal with it again. These cash advances are used primarily to keep people from getting into big financial trouble with overdue bills and other fees.

The way a cash advance works is pretty simple. A borrower applies for the loan, is approved within minutes, and walks out with their money in hand.

They then pay off bills or whatever they want to do with the money. After two weeks, the loan is due, so the borrower pays it off and it’s all complete. Cash advances are simple and quick.

For the application, the borrower will have to provide a few things. They will need to provide their name, address, source of income or gross monthly income, and a state or federal identification.

They will also need to provide a post-dated check when applying in a store for the amount borrowed plus the interest fee. If applying online, they will just provide their checking account number.

At the end of the loan, the lender will take money out of their account to complete it. You should never have to get a credit check for a cash advance and you should never have to leave any collateral for one either.

The interest rate for a cash advance is measured in APR, or annual percentage rating. On a cash advance, the APR usually is pretty high, but is not something to be alarmed at.

Since APR is an annual measurement, and cash advances only last for two weeks, a high APR on a cash advance is misleading. A cash advance of $100 at 390% APR looks expensive, but the interest on this loan only comes out to be just over a dollar a day, adding up to just $15 over two weeks.

That means the total repayment due at the end of the loan will only be $115. This is a low amount and is very affordable.

When you get a cash advance, you need to make sure you get it from a good company. Find one that is completely honest with you upfront.

The company should be one of the leaders in the financial services industry and should be very reputable. They should also have a lot of employees working for them. The company should have a website that is updated and quality.

Having all these qualities will help you to trust that company and will also keep your finances safe. After all, that is one of the things you need most of all.

Make sure you do a little bit of homework to research the company you want to borrow from. Don’t just get a cash advance from anyone without finding out about them first.

Remember that everyone is accountable for themselves. Nobody will ever force you to get a cash advance, so if you decide to get one, make sure you remember it was your choice.

Also, think about the future. Most employees from good cash advance lenders will try to make sure you can pay back your loan before they give it to you, but you need to make sure you will be able to pay when the time comes. Most of all, just please use cash advances responsibly.

De-Clutter Your Home And De-Stress

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

Is your home stressing you out? You may to surprised to find out that a cluttered can actually increase your stress levels. So whether you are planning to sell your house or simply want to reorganize your current space, you could benefit from de-cluttering your space. Bid farewell to all the extra stuff that has been weighing you down and get ready for a new beginning.

If you are like most North Americans, you are being pulled in many directions with very little time left over for yourself. When you add to this the stress of a cluttered home, you may feel a tad overwhelmed. Sure, you have been meaning to get organized and you may have even attempted to tackle a few rooms. But let’s face it: unless you are willing to purge, you are only moving stuff around. So go ahead, get rid of the surplus stuff!

Here is how to can begin the process. Get a few boxes or bins and label them either garbage, recycling, donation, or storage. you can start your sort with clothes you have not worn in at least a year and broken items that you have meant to fix for a while.

We surround ourselves with things and they often have emotional ties. However, something that made you feel good when you first acquired it could be making you feel overwhelmed today if it contributing to the clutter in your life. For the items that you cannot bear to give away, such as an old college sweatshirt or your grandma’s lamp, you can store them in a box that you would label “memories”. Go back to that both in a year’s time. You may choose to keep it in the garage or attic and while longer or you may realize that you don’t really miss these things and be willing to get rid of them. Another option would be to take pictures of the items that you no longer have a need for but can’t seem to let go. The pictures will allow you to keep a souvenir of the item without cluttering your home.

Once you have gone though all your things and gotten rid of the clutter, get into the habit of sorting on a regular basis. It could be every six months or as often as every month. If you don’t get into the habit of sorting your things often, you will find that clutter has a sneaky way to creeping back in your life. The last thing you want is to be back where you started a year later and have to go through a major sort and de-cluttering again. Make a point of putting things away and start filing your papers on a weekly basis. Do not give in to the temptation to put things away later. It’s a slippery slope and you know where that got you in the past! Schedule some time every week to tidy up and organize your things. By doing it in small bits regularly, the clutter will not become overwhelming.

A good way to motivate you to tidy and de-clutter is to give yourself rewards every once in a while. Just be careful not to reward yourself with useless stuff that will later become clutter. Instead of buying yourself “something”, treat yourself to an activity or services. Perhaps you can indulge in a monthly massage, schedule time for a manicure or treat yourself to a movie. You will feel better without adding more clutter to your home.

Taking the first step is the most difficult part of the de-cluttering process. But once you start, you will find that there are many things that you didn’t even know you had. So take the time to go through your things on a regular basis and watch yourself become calmer and happier.

Master Success by Living in Harmony With the Universal Laws

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

In a garden there stands a majestic tree. In the winter it stands bare, stripped of its splendour but in the spring it produces a mass of beautiful white blossoms. The flowers appear over the course of a few days like kernels of corn which have reached bursting point.

This grand annual showcase is a poignant reminder of the quote by Anais Nin:

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

Many people lament about not being able to truly master success and achieve their full potential. It’s like they’re caught in a tight bud whose development has, for some reason, been stifled. The thing is, if instead of fulfilling your true destiny you do indeed remain in a bud you’re robbing the world of your unique gifts.

But the question is why does this happen in the first place?

Year after year, the tree in the garden blossoms. It knows of no other way of existence. It simply abides by the Laws of Nature and the Laws of the Universe. The tree doesn’t worry about what will happen when it blossoms. It doesn’t worry that its beautiful flowers are transient. It doesn’t hold flowers in reserve. It produces its flowers in abundance. The tree simply fulfils its destiny.

You are a higher life-form than the tree. In fact, you’re the highest life-form of all. Success is your birthright.

The difference between you and a tree is that you can think and you can choose. So while the tree abides by the Laws of the Universe you don’t have to.

You can consider different options and different paths to take to achieve your goals. But the irony is that unless you abide by the Laws of the Universe your success will be limited and your results will be inconsistent.

So, while the tree simply flows with nature and exists in harmony with Universal Laws you will sometimes live in harmony with laws and at other times you will be out of step with these laws. The good thing is that you will know in which state you exist because the Universe always gives excellent feedback by the way of your results.

Simply put, if you’re achieving the results and success you desire then you’re working in harmony with the Universal Laws.

One of the many reasons why people do not achieve the level of success they desire is because they worry about what it would be like to achieve their goals and be successful. Some worry that their family and or friends might become resentful of their success. Some people think that they will not be able to handle the extra responsibilities that come with success. Some think that becoming wealthy as a result of being successful might change who they are.

They start to rationalise that becoming successful might not be such a good idea after all. Of course these reasons are generally ill-founded. Nonetheless, they’re powerful enough to keep them from achieving their goals. They sabotage their success and when the time comes for them to bloom they remain tight in a bud.

If you can relate to this a good exercise is to imagine yourself 5 years down the line. What would life be like for you if you don’t take the ‘risk’ to blossom and things continued along their present trend?

~ Where would you be living?

~ How much money would you be earning?

~ What would you be doing for fun and recreation?

~ What would be the state of your health?

~ How would your family be living?

Answer these questions honestly and you’ll find that the perceived ‘risk’ is insignificant compared to the potential gain. You’ll stop resisting change and your true nature. You’ll give yourself permission to grow, ‘blossom’ and share your abundance.

You’ll start to live in harmony with the Universal Laws. You’ll become a master at achieving success in your life and you’ll give the world the gift of you.

One reason why people do not live in harmony with Universal Laws is simply because their awareness of the laws is limited. For an excellent program on the Universal Laws and how you can create the life you desire visit Mastering the Universal Laws.
